Last year our Managing Director, Andrew Rowe was arrested and taken to a prison cell for local charity, Homestart Suffolk. This year our Executive commercial director, Matthew Self is braving it (we will see about the brave bit) and jumping from a plane along with his team of supporting employees, Beth Wade, Sophie Lissauer, Steven Ryles, Sophia Nicklin and Kamil Kalembkiewicz.
We have our two chosen charities that we would love to support by raising money with this event;
Amend; Every penny raised goes to helping AMEND to provide information and support to patients and families affected by MEN and related endocrine tumours and to fund our various research awards into the MEN diseases. Nick had a long-standing condition called MEN1, for which the family and The Barnes Group (where Nick worked for the last 34 years), will now work to raise more funds to support research and provide advice to sufferers.
Selig Suffolk- The Ipswich Night Shelter rely solely on donations from individuals, groups and companies in order to run. Last year the overall fundraising total helped to provide 838 bed nights.Which is:- 838 evening meals, 838 breakfasts, 838 beds made and bedding laundered and much more.
The recommended team name "Splat Self and his self destructers" didn't make the cut just this time.
We are still convincing Matthew that whoever raises the most amount individually gets to push him out of the plane... so bare this in mind when you donate!
