With over 30 years’ experience in the private and public sectors, David heads up a team of professionals that at any one time can be managing the design and application of around 90 projects.
He brings bundles of optimism to the team and has a fantastic ability to get the best out of a situation. He is a good teacher, driving and guiding the individuals who work within his studio to deliver continual improvement in the quality of their design information. He also takes a keen interest in what is going on and works with his team to deliver an architectural solution that not only meets the needs of the clients, but is a functional building for the end user; whether a school, library or care home.
To further build and develop the confidence and self esteem of individuals who work in his team, David has introduced a weekly design critique session where projects that are being worked on are presented by the designer and then discussed as a group. Input is encouraged from participants on how the scheme can be improved and that can lead to a better solution.
David joined the business in 1992 and although his work has been varied and diverse, he cites his best projects as Ormiston Endeavour Academy in Ipswich and two Haverhill schools, Westfield Primary Academy (which won best public sector building at the Suffolk Property Awards) and Clements Community Primary School (which won the RICS Eastern Region Community Benefit Award).
