Wamil court is a single storey building of brick construction and principally pitched concrete tiled roofs. The care home was built in 1973 and is laid out as two linked quadrangles. It was operated as a 35 bedroom care home by Suffolk County Council with lounges, kitchens, social and other ancillary areas.
Mildenhall is a historic market town with good access to the A11 and wider road network. There are two military air bases nearby. The property is located on the edge of the conservation area to the west of the town. It is set amongst housing with Mildenhall Cricket Club and playing fields to the south and west.
