Senior Landscape Architect

Team worker:
  • Participate as a senior member of the Concertus team supporting colleagues and working collaboratively to develop the business
  • Support the Principal Landscape Architect and the Directors, linking effectively and proactively with other teams in Concertus
  • Work flexibly to support delivery across the service
  • Play a key part in the project and studio management
  • Lead and manage all aspects of Landscape Design for a project, delegating responsibility for tasks throughout the Landscape team
Customer service:
  • Liaise professionally with current and potential clients to Concertus
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals within Concertus and also with third party consultants/contractors/suppliers
  • Provide an efficient and business-like point of contact when responding to internal and external enquiries

It’s essential you have:
  • Post-graduate degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent
  • Have five+ years professional experience as a Landscape Architect
  • Chartered member of the Landscape Institute
  • Good design and drawing skills
  • A keen interest in the environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals
  • An understanding of the relationship between people, buildings and the wider environment
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • CAD proficiency
Business delivery:
  • Pro-actively seek to improve the Landscape studios’ design processes.
  • Actively contribute to conversations with clients over landscape design matters
  • Ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule, overseeing and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Take full responsibility of allocated project work
  • Preparing and managing scheme designs and specifications for the completion of projects
  • Prepare and present feasibility reports and high quality design proposals to the client
  • Cultivate new business clients and retain existing clients
  • Work around constraining factors such as planning legislation, building regulations, environmental impact and project budget
  • Prepare applications for planning
  • Produce BIM compliant working drawings and specifications
  • Choose materials to be used and the requirements for the project, based on site and environmental criteria
  • React and resolve issues which arise during the pre-design/design construction/post-construction stages of a project
BIM roles and responsibilities:
  • Ensuring Asset Information requirements and/or MIDP requirements are set out in the Employers Information Requirements and livered on a BIM project
  • Enable reliable information exchange through a common data environment
  • Enable integration and co-ordination of information within an information model
  • Configure information for project outputs
  • Assure delivery of information exchanges
  • Confirm supplier’s ability to deliver information requirements
  • Co-ordinated delivery of all design information
  • Manage information development and information approvals
  • Confirm Design Deliverables
  • Overall Lead for configuration management
  • Production of design outputs related to a discipline-specific, package-based or time-based task
  • Direct the production of task information in compliance with standards and methods, and using agreed systems
  • Manage spatial co-ordination on behalf of task team
  • Propose resolutions to co-ordination clashes
  • Accept reject information exchanges within the common data environment
