To be responsible for researching, compiling, producing and managing the production of Bids from conception to final submission. To support the strategy of the Concertus Group’s bid process.

 

Business delivery:

  • Work collaboratively to define key content to ensure that responses fully address client requirements and deliver a strong winning narrative
  • Co-lead tender start up’s including producing a detailed tender start up report that clearly communicates deliverables and potential win strategies
  • Work with the AD to Review the sensitivity of bids – financial to quality and assist the bid no bid decision
  • Work collaboratively to agree content requirements from other parties, record actions and agree programme
  • Work with the whole team to produce timely responses that exceed evidential requirements and demonstrate client benefits
  • Manage tender clarifications and produce reports to track changes and communicate through teams
  • Ensure that clarifications are captured in the final submissions to ensure compliant responses
  • Review and create feedback reports and implement continual improvements
  • Maintain bid library including information, records, and feedback to provide a coherent resource to increase success rates
  • Manage multiple resources that achieves deadlines at the required quality
  • Proofread final documents and ensure correct grammar and spelling
  • Maintain awareness of Bid trends and industry changes to feed into future bids
  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with the wider team to facilitate bid responses
  • Manage and mentor bid assistant development in association with Associate Director
  • Maintain strong relationships with marketing and communications team
  • Creation of presentation content
  • Manage multiple resources to deliver a strong, winning case to a prospective client
  • Research and prepare financial data in correlation to a bid
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the Marketing and Communications team
  • Utilise the Project Information Management System for data collection and management
  • Manage and guide Bid Assistant’s development and career progression
  • Promote standards and professionalism at all times
  • Be knowledgeable about the services the Concertus Group provides across all its professional areas
  • Conduct research on future opportunities that align with company fitness goals
  • Lead innovation within the team to improve the bid process and develop our company brand in order to increase bid success
  • Undertake proofreading and refinement of written material across the Concertus Group
  • Have a good understanding of Construction, the process of project design and delivery, who Concertus are and their capabilities and where we have strengths in the business to support our bids
  • Conduct detailed review of tender results and assess areas in our bids where we can carry out lessons learnt and make the necessary improvements, updating records to ensure we have well educated responses to use on future bids

 

Measures of success:

  • Success of bids and implementation of feedback to ensure continual improvement
  • Feedback from line manager, colleagues, and the wider team
  • Effectiveness of the management and control of the whole bid process
  • Performance reviews and appraisals

 

It’s essential you have:

  • Create high-quality content that contributes towards success and awards
  • Experience in managing bids and the preconstruction process
  • Excellent computer skills including presentation applications
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
  • Desire for success
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Understanding of marketing and communications
  • Attention to detail, being able to work under pressure whilst achieving high-quality outputs
  • Ownership and responsibility of bids
  • Collaboratively working with Directors to continually improve the process and success rate

 

Communication:

  • Carry out effective communication with all stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Carry out all necessary administration tasks with regards to gaining Director approvals to bid, setting up enquiries and understanding where opportunities are linked to existing frameworks as opposed to new standalone opportunities
  • Display sensitivity when dealing with confidential information
  • Liaise with all levels of seniority to gather relevant information
  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with the wider team to facilitate bid responses
  • Manage and mentor bid assistant development in association with Associate Director
  • Maintain strong relationships with marketing and communications team
  • Understand business strategy and take direction from the Leadership team to focus on the most strategically important bids and areas of business development
  • Convey the Concertus Group’s missions, visions and values into written bid submissions
