Senior Marketing Copywriter

Support the Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the team and develop the brand into multiple regions to support business growth ambitions.

 

Business delivery:

  • Produce copy ranging from headlines and body text for print advertising to video content, social media, white papers, reports, thought leadership content, articles, blogs, and press releases
  • Liaise with journalists to understand required angle of stories
  • Establish and ensure the consistency of the brand’s tone of voice both internally and externally
  • Support the Marketing and Communications Manager with the creation and development of advertising and campaign ideas, with particular focus on the copy. These campaigns will position the brand as a company at the forefront of design consultancy excellence and innovation
  • Continue building a strong brand across the UK and support the business growth plan and strategy to expand and evolve the quality of written outputs
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement by overseeing the development of newsletters
  • Travel to sites to understand the projects you are writing about
  • Travel to other offices in the UK will be required
  • Work cross-functionally with colleagues across Concertus from all business functions through to the professional services to ensure that the content published is of an excellent standard
  • Interview clients, industry experts and internal teams to learn more about the industry, services, and projects
  • Review and edit internal and external documents across the business for spelling and grammar mistakes
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an editorial house style document for the business to follow in line with the work the quality team carry out
  • Support the development of colleagues gaining a better understanding of the written word
  • Conduct SEO and keyword research, implementing SEO practices to increase blog post visibility
  • Coordinate with graphic designers to complement text with images, graphics, and charts, as needed
  • Create and oversee reports on content (e.g., weekly, or monthly)
  • Ensure all content is maintained and up to date
  • Monitor metrics related to our content such as; web traffic and conversion rates
  • Understanding the target audience and proposed media to be used in campaigns
  • Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in our content

  • Success of marketing advertising and campaigns
  • Implementation of feedback to ensure continual improvement
  • Feedback from line manager, colleagues, and the wider team
  • Strength of the Concertus brand
  • Performance reviews and appraisals

 

It’s essential you have:

  • Minimum of 3yrs in a copywriter’s role within the design/consultancy industry with experience in B2B
  • Experience managing people
  • Portfolio of published articles
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Suite such as Word, Publisher, Teams, PowerPoint etc.
  • Basic ability to use Adobe Creative Suite

 

Communication:

  • Able to write clear, accurate, creative, and persuasive copy that can engage different audiences from social media posts to long-form content
  • Ability to create, develop, implement, and maintain companywide house rules
  • Familiarity with social media for business
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a ‘creative team’, working alongside the marketing and communications team
  • Self-starter able to follow own initiative and willing to learn and adapt quickly
  • Ability to work with varied briefs
  • The ideal candidate will have imagination and a flair for writing
  • Fascinated by people, projects, advertising, and the brand you write for/represent
  • Existing knowledge of SEO and keyword research tools (e.g., Keyword Planner)
