Charity success in 2018

We had a very successful year in 2018 with our charitable contributions. Through fundraising, donations and sponsorships, we raised £7,400 for our chosen charities, the Nick Fayers AMEND Fund and the Ipswich Homeless Shelter.

The popularity and success of our fundraising was mainly down to the fun and quirky charity events that were hosted at our Ipswich-based office.

Some of these events included a 12 days of Christmas raffle with amazing prizes kindly donated by local businesses and suppliers:

Riverhills Health Club

Byron Burger

Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa

Joshua C Hair Salon

Barnes Construction

Millgate IT

Corbel

Suffolk Food Hall

Poundgates Insurance

Other popular campaigns were the Bush Tucker Trial style event with charitable bets placed on who will get to the last gruesome dish first, a bingo night hosted for all employees with monetary prizes and an Ed Sheeran themed bake sale.

A clear highlight in Concertus’ 2018 charity events calendar was a skydive. Executive Commercial Director, Matthew Self jumped from a plane alongside his team of supporting colleagues. This event alone raised £2,852.49. Matthew Self said, “When the idea of jumping out of a plane for our chosen charities was first suggested I almost fell out of my chair! However, once seeing the incredible increase in the fundraising I realised that it had to be done for such a worthwhile cause!”

Concertus colleagues are now voting their next chosen 2 charities which will be announced in early 2019 where we will continue to do our best to raise money for charity in the most creative and courageous ways possible.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts in 2018 by donating.
