David Whybrow

Associate Director - Design

David is responsible for coordinating the entire design function at Concertus. A great believer in teamwork, he uses his skills in problem solving and delegation to ensure the company’s design outputs are of the right quality, meet budget and keep pace with project timescales.

David works to ensure all of the company’s design disciplines deliver what is promised. This involves overseeing the design process from pre-construction through to final completion, while maintaining a high level of communication with Project Managers and Lead Designers. This is not a simple task, as with four divisions executing design services, including architecture and interior, landscape, building services and sustainability, the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple teams is key!

Before joining Concertus, David gained 20+ years experience in roles for private national and regional contractors where he developed a background in main contracting. This has equipped David with a strong understanding of the building process and has strengthened his ability to, not only identify and manage the pressures of the internal team, but those from the contractors’ point of view.
