David is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Civil Engineers with 20 years’ experience in designing and delivering structural and civil engineering projects.
His knowledge is diverse and covers both the public and private sectors where he has been involved on new build, extension and refurbishment schemes. A reliable and competent professional, David is good at making the structure work with regard to its buildability, health and safety and architectural intent. He likes working with others to make a holistic scheme that takes into account both internal and external aspects including flood risk, contamination and geotechnical issues.
David started his career with Sir Robert McAlpine as a Junior Engineer, where he was sponsored to gain his engineering degree from Cambridge University. He then moved to New Zealand for nine months before returning to join Bowman & Kirkland as a Site Engineer in 1997/98. He joined Suffolk County Council as a Bridge Engineer in 2001, before moving into Concertus as a CDM Co-ordinator in spring 2008.
