Associate Director - Property

Leader role:
  • Lead the Professional Services and ensure they deliver an effective service
  • Support the Directors and link with other Professional Services within Concertus and other subsidiary companies providing wherever possible new business opportunities for them
  • Manage the Professional Services as a commercial business unit focusing on productivity, efficiency, quality and positive returns
Business development:
  • Consider Business Development and Growth as a priority
  • Grow the business, increasing revenues and profits by deepening relationships with the existing client base and developing new clients
  • Develop networking opportunities with clients (including running seminars, events and business exhibitions)
  • Support in securing new business opportunities including bid writing, undertaking presentations to clients/project stakeholders
Customer service:
  • Deliver great customer service to all existing and potential clients
  • Provide an efficient and business like point of contact
  • Ensure the delivery of quality assured, client focused products and services to meet the agreed requirements of the customer
  • Responsibility for client account management
  • Ensure the Professional Services display an outward client focused approach and exhibits positive behaviours at all times
Business delivery:
  • Deliver business targets outlined in the Concertus Strategic Business Plan and Team Plan
  • Manage relationships with a range of stakeholders including clients and suppliers
  • Support the Directors on all aspects relating to Design and Property Professional Services
  • Review the operational effectiveness of procedures to promote standardisation
  • Monitor project work to ensure the requirements of the client are fulfilled
  • Ensure the development and competence of staff and manage their training needs
  • Help develop the Business Management System to ensure the continuous improvement of quality assured services/products for clients

Business strategy:
  • Contribute to the Concertus strategic business plan
  • Develop and agree the team Business Plans to meet the requirements of the Concertus Strategic Business Plan
  • Provide information to the Directors to support Business Governance including contributing to Board reports
BIM roles and responsibilities:
  • Enable integration and co-ordination of information within information
  • Maintain and receive information into the information model
  • Configure information for project outputs
  • Populate the information exchange format for the information model.
  • Assure delivery of information exchanges
  • Confirm supplier’s ability to deliver information requirements
  •  Co-ordinated delivery of all design information
  • Manage information development and information approvals
  • Confirm Design Deliverables
  • Overall Lead for configuration management
  • Production of design outputs related to a discipline-specific, package-based or time- based task
  • Direct the production of task information in compliance with standards and methods
  • Direct the production of task information using agreed systems
  • Manage spatial coordination on behalf of task team
  • Accept/reject information exchanges within the common data environment
  • Oversee team to ensure compliance of their job responsibilities
It’s essential you have:
  • Degree in Design or equivalent
  • Member of a relevant professional body
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • An attitude which is commercially astute and business-focused
  • An understanding of initiatives and new policies affecting design teams
  • An ability to market the service, develop new business relationships and manage a broad range of stakeholders effectively
