Concertus Design & Property Consultants has recently completed one permanent and two temporary modular builds at Mickley Village Primary & Nursery School, Chellaston Fields Spencer Academy and Bramley Vale Primary School.

These builds were completed during the summer break to ensure that the pupils’ education was not disrupted. By employing modern construction methods, Concertus was able to reduce construction time and material costs for the client and the schools. We worked together with Ideal Building Systems (Mickley) and Morgan Sindall (Bramley Vale + Chellaston) to ensure that the students were able to return to school on time for the new term.

Tom Marshall, Operations Director at Concertus Design & Property Consultants, said: “It’s fantastic to see that new education settings have been successfully put in place across all three sites. Despite the immense pressure to ensure that these projects were completed in time for the new term, the successful completion of these projects is a testament to the great teamwork among all those involved, and we’re pleased to see the pupils already enjoying their new classrooms.”

The permanent modular build at Mickley Village Primary & Nursery School allows the school to increase its pupil numbers due to demand in the area following its recently conversion from an infant school. Chellaston Fields Spencer Academy is now able to share its facilities with another local school. While the works taking place at Bramley Vale are the first stage of a new £7.2 million new build school.

All projects were delivered for Derbyshire County Council.
